Today we have the honor, to have Ambassador Xu Jinghu, special representative of the Chinese government on African affairs here to brief you on the relevant details.
谢谢李司长。各位媒体的朋友们，大家好！我很高兴在中非合作论坛北京峰会召开的第二天，在新闻中心，在此跟各位在座的媒体朋友们见面，向大家介绍一下，到目前为止，峰会的一些盛况。
Dear friends from the press, it is my great pleasure to meet you here. At the press center, on the second day of the Beijing summit, I am glad to brief you some details of the ongoing Beijing summit.
刚才李司长也已经介绍了2018年中非合作论坛北京峰会的开幕式已经于昨天下午在人民大会堂隆重开幕。习近平主席在开幕式上做了“携手共命运，携手促发展”的重要主旨讲话。
Just like Director General Li just said, the summit lifted its curtain on September the 3rd, president Xi made an important themed speech, “Work together for common development and shared future”.
今天根据安排，上下午都是圆桌会议，会议现在正在进行中。
The schedule for the summit is round tables this morning and this afternoon, these round-table meetings are already underway.
2018年中非合作论坛北京峰会是继2015年约翰内斯堡论坛峰会以后，中非领导人再次举行集体会晤。也是自2006年以后，时隔12年，再次在中国北京举行中非合作论坛峰会。
The Beijing summit is another ground gathering for Chinese and African leaders after the Johannesberg summit in 2015. It is also another gathering after 12 years of that meeting in Beijing.
这次峰会最突出的一个特点就是层次高，规模大。
The most salient feature of this summit is its largest scale.
昨天的开幕式，习近平主席和中非合作论坛非洲成员方54方全部出席了开幕式。
President Xi Jinping and 54 African members all attended yesterday’s opening ceremony.
所以中非合作论坛55个成员方，在北京欢聚一堂，共话友谊，共商合作，共想未来。这确确实实是一次中非友好大家庭的大团圆。
So the Beijing summit is a grand and happy gathering for friendship, cooperation and future development. It can be said a get together of Chinese and African friends together.
非方成员全部出席了这次北京峰会。其中有40位国家元首，10位政府首脑，1位副国家元首，还有非盟委员会的主席法基先生。
All African members attended the summit, including 40 heads of state, 10 heads of government, 1 deputy head of government and president of the African Union.
来华出席会议的非洲国家正部级高级官员超过240位。
Ministerial level officials from Africa exceeded 240 people.
所以从这些数字我们可以看出来，出席北京峰会的非方领导人和代表团的数量都创下了历次中非峰会的记录。
These numbers’ big volume, it is unprecedented for this large number of attendance from African leaders and senior officials.
另外联合国秘书长古特瑞斯作为，还有27个国际和非洲地区组织的代表也应邀出席了会议。加起来中外参会人有超过3200人。
UN General Secretary Antonio Guterres Harass was here as a special guest and there are also 27 representatives from international and regional organizations. Altogether we have more than 3200 guests in Beijing.
所以我可以非常高兴地跟大家说，中非合作论坛2018年北京峰会是迄今为止，中国举办的规模最大，规格最高的主场外交活动。
So I am glad to say here that the Beijing summit of FOCAC is by far the largest scale diplomatic event hosted by China this year with the greatest number of foreign leaders and officials.
大家可能也注意到论坛北京峰会的第二个特点就是活动非常密集，丰富多彩。
You may have noticed that the second feature of this summit is its tight schedule.
到现在为止，中非领导人一共举行了企业家大会峰会开幕式，另外双边会见等很多活动。我刚才也提到，今天上下午都是圆桌会议。
So far, African and Chinese leaders have held entrepreneur conference, opening ceremony and a series of bilateral meetings. We also just have announced that today we will have a series of round table meetings.
我手头还没有具体的数字，可能大家在新闻里也注意到了，外国领导人跟我们中国领导人会见以后，签署了一些双边协议，成果是非常丰硕的。
I haven’t got the specific numbers yet, but you all have learned from the news that multiple of bilateral cooperation documents were signed between two sides, so this is a very fruitful meeting.
第三个特点就是这次北京峰会气氛非常热烈，举世瞩目。
The third feature is that the Beijing summit was held in a very cordial and warm atmosphere which has attracted worldwide attention.
我们可以看到北京街头到处都悬挂了一些峰会的会旗，宣传标语，确实是特别的热烈。也反映了我们中方作为东道国，欢迎非洲朋友的热烈的心情。
Just like all the eye-catching flags and slogans on the streets you probably noticed, it just reflected our hospitality towards our African friends.
我看见附近街头安置了一些绿植做成的造型，栩栩如生，成了一景。游客和北京市民都去那里照相。我觉得这些都充分体现出了“中非一家亲”，亲切，友好，热情的场面。
I saw nearby many genuine, hoti-cultural designs which have become attractive tourist destinations. It shows that China and African families that enjoy closeness and affinity.
双方确实非常的亲近。我们有很多的共同语言。论坛北京峰会热烈的盛况真的充分体现了中非友好是深入人心，深得人心。
China and African are close to each other. We share a lot of common grounds. This Beijing summit fully demonstrates that the friendship, amity between China and Africa is welcomed by all.
昨天峰会的开幕式上，习主席发表了主旨讲话后，非方领导人，联合国秘书长古特雷斯也都在峰会上发表了讲话。他们都热烈赞扬中非历经国际风云变幻考验的友好传统，高度评价习主席致力于中非团结的国际视野和大国担当，高度赞赏中国迄今为止，为了帮助非洲摆脱贫苦，实现可持续发展所做出的巨大贡献。非洲领导人都表示反对，公开拒绝各种责难，中非合作的不实之词。昨天，拉马福萨总统在开幕式讲话中明确说了，非洲反对有些人因为不喜欢中非合作，就说中国在非洲搞新殖民主义。
After president Xi’s keynote speech at yesterday’s opening ceremony, African leaders and the Secretary General of the UN also sustain country.
非方朋友一致认为中国是非洲大陆发展振兴最可信赖的伙伴，我们也非常赞赏非洲朋友对中国的信任。
African countries all agree that China is a reliable partner for their development.
