Jack Tapper: What do you make president Trump today when asked about people floating the idea of his daughter,Ivanka Trump,serving as UN ambassador?
Jack Tapper：今天，美国总统特朗普任命女儿伊万卡·特朗普为联合国大使，人们对此浮想联翩，你对此有什么看法？
He said,”There could be no one be more conpetent than her.She would do a great job.” Although he did seem to bemoan the fact that appointing his daughter would lead to neopotism.”
他说：“没人比她更独立。她会做得很好！”虽然他随即就哀叹起来：人们竟因此指控他是群带主义。
I guess it may be it it acutally be nepotism.But what,what,what did you make of him basically saying that there’s no one that would be better at the job than my daughter?

MarkSanford: hhhh,are you kidding me?I mean the nature of the American political system is that we got,you know,roughly three hundred million of people to pull from,and we ought to.And there are a whole host of talented people,some with very considrable foreign policy experiences that could be pulled from with a post like this.
MarkSanford：哈哈哈，你在开玩笑吗？美国政治制度的本质就是如此啊。美国有三亿多人，其中不乏很多才华横溢的人才，他们外交政策经验丰富，这时候我们往往就会采用特朗普这种“直接任命”。
And the idea of the,you know,we are going to run this like again,a crime organization-it’s not the right example.I am not using that.But we’re just going to pick up from family is crazy.That is agiain,as I say,it’s happened in a couple instances in this country.
我们这样，有点像在运作一个犯罪组织——当然，我这个例子不恰当。可是，特朗普这样不由分说地就直接任命家庭成员担任重要职务，我认为是非常疯狂的，这在美国是极为罕见的。
It is the outlier.And I don’t think it’s a model that should be replicated because it moves against this idea of meritocracy instead of to the ideas of blood being,you know the strongest of all ties.
他表现的就像一个局外人似的。我认为，我们不能效仿这种行为——它违背了“才子先于血亲”的用人模式。即使血亲是我们所有人际关系里最为亲近的也不行。
Ultimately,what ought to tie us together in the political environment is the merit of our ideas and our ability to advance these ideas in making arguments rather than some blood ties.
因此，在选用政府工作人员时，我们应该优先考虑思想状况和工作能力，而非血缘关系的亲疏。
