Ellen Bennett: Hey guys! I’m Ellen Bennett, the founder of Hedley & Bennett. And we apron my apron factory in Vernon, which is right next to L.A. And I’m going to take you guys on a wild eating adventure. I grew up in L.A. So I am an Angelino. And I’m half-Mexican, so I know all the awesome places that you need to go to next time you’re in town.

BRIANA VALDEZ: well, it’s a Fritos pie in a bag. So really, it’s like a casserole in a bag. You know, it’s just convenient and handy when you need a casserole, and just you’re on the go.

ELLEN BENNETT: I need a casserole right now.

BRIANA VALDEZ: so it’s a brisket chili cooked slow and low. Put that right on top of the Fritos, they get nice and soggy.

The potato tacos, I call it the kitchen sink taco. it’s a little bit of everything. You have kind of a crispy, [ELLEN BENNETT]: crispy, crunchy.

BRIANA VALDEZ: crispy edge of the potatoes mixed with cheese. We can put it on the griddle, so it kind of comes together right there.

ELLEN BENNETT: it looks so good.

BRIANA VALDEZ: then we layer it with pickled red onions, pickled jalapeonos, cabbage, slaw…

ELLEN BENNETT: I love that you pickled so much stuff. It gives a little pop.

ELLEN BENNETT: Salazar is two minutes away from my house. So I live in Echo Park, which is an awesome, ridiculous neighborhood full of young maniacs like myself. And that’s why I love coming here, it’s so close by. I love their guacamole, because It has a bunch of queso fresco on top. And they put fresno chilis, a little bit of cilantro. We also have the papitas, all on top of the guac. That’s so good.
Woo-hoo!
艾伦·贝内特：萨拉查公园（洛杉矶一个公园）离我家就两分钟的路程。我住在回声公园（洛杉矶一个公园），这里是一个十分不可思议的地方，周围全部都是跟我一样的比较搞笑的年轻人，这就是为什么我喜欢来这里，它离我家实在是太近了。我喜欢这里的牛油果沙拉酱，因为加入了我喜欢的油炸玉米饼，除此之外他们还放了一些弗雷斯诺辣椒，一点香菜，还有马铃薯，实在是太赞了！

ELLEN BENNETT: this place is freaking amazing. It is two blocks from the Apron HQ, which is just down the street. And it’s this gem of a spot.

[SPEAKING SPANISH] thirty-three!

ELLEN BENNETT: so I’m going to say hi to them, because they’re so lovely. Let’s go.

ELLEN BENNETT: I brought you an apron since I eat here three times a week. I said I have to bring you one. So you can look very professional.

Assistant: That’s what you do?

ELLEN BENNETT: Yes. This is my company, we make aprons, you look so good. He’s so cute. Ok. What should we make?

ELLEN BENNETT: I know that looks like a ton of salsa. But it actually the right amount of salsa. So good. Next time you’re in LA, you’ve got to come to visit the Apron factory, obviously. And then, come here and get some shrimp tacos, because they’re so awesome.
艾伦·贝内特：我知道这看起来有很多辣味汁,但实际上只有适量的，所以吃起来很不错。下次你来洛杉矶的时候一定要来参观我们公司的围裙厂。然后，来这里买些虾仁玉米饼，因为它们实在太好吃了。
