Now with a case of tourists behaving badly at Yellow Stone National Park. A man, accord on the tape,(is)getting too colse to a geyser twice. ABC then says that he was here. With a story, good monring, Diane.
Good mornig to you. So when in the Yellow Stone or anywhere you really should not get too close to the wild animals, tons of wild animals, fields of wild animals or stick your head in a boiling high geyser. These are things that you might think don't need to be said. And then this happens.
“This is the park service. Get on the boardwalk.”
"Get off Faithful!"
That's the park service at Yellow Natonal Park Frantklin warning this man to move away from the old Faithful, the boiling water spiling from the geyser and average is 200 degrees. But the man, Gavi Valaova doesn't listen, instead, he sticks his head inside the geyser as panicked tourists looked on.
“Oh my god. What an idiot.”
Eventually, ranges called up and gave him a ticket for disorderly conduct. But he was added again the very next day, sitting almost on tap of the geyser, located on the another section of the park.
It's just one of the several examples in Yellow Stone this season where tourists have got too close to the park's natural inhabitants. Just last week, a man at a top spring ,photographing two elk's fighting. And elk suddenly charged a foe, knoking a man to the groud.
And earlier this summer, a man got out of his car and started taunting a bison around the Yellow Stone as people watched in horror. And it didn't stop there, remarkably the bison loses his interests and doesn't turn back. But it's a dangerous game.
Just this June a crowd at the Yellow Stone just got too close to a bison. And a 59 year-old woman from California was gored. Experts warned if animals feel threatened, they may strike back hard.
"These are not ‘I'll see the cow’. This is a wild animal that fights for agression and fights for territory." Now there are rules about keeping a distance from wild animals in the park and stay marked trails and thermal areas.
As for Valaova, he's been arrested in charge of this sort of misconduct and three other counts.
The Park is now considering additonal charges.
So now he is "in the hot water".
