外语学习者通常需要学习说、听、写、读四项基本技能。对于那些计划在外国公司工作、出国留学或仅仅是为了提高找到好工作的机会的人来说，这些技能在各级教育中都是至关重要的。对于那些在中国学习英语的人来说，最根本的问题之一就是要有一个实践所学的环境。长期以来的观点是，中国的英语学习者读和写的能力比说和听的能力更强。但事实上，科技已经极大地改变了现状。如今，学习者在很大程度上可以在线获取教学材料。花几天时间自己练习听力甚至口语是都成为可能。相反的，可以说，写作方面的练习减少了，尤其是在学生高中毕业后。更加明显的是，许多学习非英语专业课程的学生，他们由于太忙而不能磨练自己的英语技能，或者没有迫切的需要提高他们的考试写作水平。

本系列课程旨在帮助中国学生和非在校生提高他们的写作技能。这些课程将使学习者系统地提高写作水平，特别是帮助他们避免中式英语。该课程的独特之处是以中国大学生在头三年(一年级、二年级和三年级)的写作中常犯的错误为重点来进行教学。

讲师介绍
Kizito Tekwa博士， 加拿大人，上海外国语大学高级翻译学院讲师， 负责教授英语写作、汉译英和翻译技术。专门研究机器翻译及其在语言学习中的应用，并长期研究作为第一语言的汉语对大学生英语写作的影响程度。目前他正在编写一本写作课程方面的书，侧重谈论不同的论文类型以及中式英语，该书将于今年夏天在加拿大出版。

    语音很容易辨别，其实最不易辨别的是英音（英本土和美国那些非常喜欢说俚语的土生土长的人的语音，就如我说中文，外籍也会有同样的感觉一样）

    Hi guys, thanks for your feedback. My introduction contained a lot of Chinese but the real lessons will be in English – about 95%. I will only use Chinese to establish certain links, that is it. I hope this is clear. Thanks.
